Westall after E.W. Beechey and H.P. Hoppner, and 5 etched plates by J. Clark after Beechey. Illustrations, diagrams, and letterpress tables in the text, one table folding. Errata slip tipped-in at beginning. (Some offsetting and light staining, a few tears to folds.) Contemporary boards (rebacked, some wear to corners). Provenance : H.W. Irinder (bookplate). FIRST EDITION. Parry had sailed to the Arctic under Sir John Ross "In the spring of 1819, Parry was appointed to the command of this expedition..." (Hill).
