Parry ( Capt. William Edward) A Supplement to the Appendix of Captain Parry's Voyage for the Discovery of a North-West Passage , in the Years 1819-20, containing An Account of all Subjects of Natural History, half-title, 6 engraved plates, some light foxing, 1824; The North Georgia Gazette, and Winter Chronicle , half-title, title with woodcut coat-of-arms as vignette, 1821, 2 works bound in 1 vol., first editions, both presentation copies from the author inscribed "A[cheson] Maxwell Esq. with Captain Parry's best regards" in ink at head of titles (in different hands), contemporary calf, gilt, spine gilt with green morocco labels, joints a little rubbed, [Sabin 58861 & 55714], 4to ⁂ The second item was a weekly newspaper produced by the crew to "assist in enlivening the tedious and inactive months of winter". Acheson Maxwell (1760-1851), diplomat and civil servant.
