The reference 1593 cases were made by the famed maker Markowski, which also crafted some of the other most iconic form-cases. The present watch bears the luxurious 'Heures Brillantes' dial which is fitted with diamond-set indexes that are confirmed on the Extract from the Archives. According to literature, Patek Philippe manufactured approximately 1000 ref. 1593 pieces during its production period, translating into 40 pieces per year. Of these, only roughly 250 examples were made in platinum such as the present lot. Having been cared for by its previous owner, the present watch is offered in serviced condition. The three digits of the case number are correctly repeated within the case.
