Description dimensions: 12 cm (height) period: 1911; Bohemia (Artel) Soft stoneware, white glaze with a geometric pattern of vertical stripes. Numbered on underside. Designed by Pavel Janak for the Artel collective; produced by Graniton, Rydl & Thon. Hexagonal box with walls that are slightly fractured to form four corners. Vertical black stripes come together from the sides of the lid to intersect at the knob. Slight wear, intact. Ref.: An identical box is in the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, collection of the Czech Design Foundation.
