Original black publisher's morocco, stamped in blind and gilt (worn at extremities, front joint cracked but holding). Provenance: Elisabeth Gibson Powers (1813-1892, wife of American sculptor Hiram Powers; presentation inscription dated 1861, with bookplate of her husband).
