PERAZZI - FABBRI A RARE MATCHED PAIR OF 12-BORE 'MODEL 1' SINGLE-TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER SIDELOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 5145 / 5163, circa 1964, 27 1/2in. nitro barrels with 7mm solid matt ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2', 2 3/4in. chambers, multichokes (with spares), hold-open toplevers pierced with dragons and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', manual safeties with gold-inlaid 'S' details, cocking-indicators, border engraving, the fences carved in relief with Olea europaea leaves and fruit on a matt background, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 13 3/4in. figured stocks including 1/4in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 15oz. (No.1) 6lb. 14oz. (No.2), in a tan leather double motor case Other Notes: In 1960 Daniele Perazzi went into business with a Fiat-trained automotive engineer, Ivo Fabbri. Inspired by the great English over and under guns of Boss and Woodward, their vision was to apply modern production techniques to these timeless classics. The partnership ran until 1965 when they parted ways. Due to this short-lived partnership examples of their collaborative work are quite rare, and good examples are sought after.
