PEREFIXE, Hardouin de Beaumont de. Histoire du Roy Henry le Grand Amsterdam: chez Louys & Daniel Elzevier, 1661. 12° (128 x 70mm). Additional engraved title (spotted, some very light spotting and browning). Finely-bound in dark blue morocco gilt by Duru, covers with repeated pattern of fleur-de-lys and central monogram "D", spine gilt in compartments, gilt edges. Provenance : SADI CARNOT (armorial bookplate). With 12 other French works in 16 volumes bound in morocco gilt, including Francois de Malherbe's Les Lettres (Paris, 1659), de Franchville's Le Siecle de Louis XIV (Berlin, 1751, 2 vols.), La Fontaine's Fables (Paris, 1787, 2 vols., finely-bound in scarlet morocco) and André Theuriet's Les Oeillets de Kerlaz (Paris, 1885, ONE OF 1,100 COPIES).
