Dyson Perrins . Oxford: Oxford University Press for Bernard Quaritch, 1914. 4 o (282 x 219 mm). Frontispiece and plates, illustrations in text. Contemporary red morocco, gilt-lettered on spine, top edge gilt, others uncut, by C. & C. McLeish. Provenance : William Merton (bookplate, manuscript bill from C. & C. McLeish laid-in). FIRST EDITION of Pollard's important catalogue of early Italian books in the library of Dyson Perrins. Most of the books had been collected by Richard Fisher and his son R.C. Fisher of Midhurst and were sold en bloc to Perrins in 1907 just before they were to have been auctioned by Sotheby's. 328 books are described. See De Ricci, p. 172n.
