(Occasional mainly light spotting.) A RARE COMPLETE SET OF THIS PIONEERING AND IMPORTANT SERIES ON THE NATURAL HISTORY OF MOZAMBIQUE. Part 2 (birds) is very rare; it is unlisted in BM(NH), Nissen and Stafleu & Cowan, who merely state it was never published. Professor of Zoology and director of the Zoological Museums at the Royal University of Berlin, Peters spent the early part of his career in South Africa, India and East Africa, and, inspired by the flora and fauna of Mozambique, published this work between 1852-1882.
