Intense, warm leaves nose, the 'maquis', or scented, wild undergrowth, in full bloom. Immensely tempting. Great red fruit taste, brimming over with health and vivacity. Lovely silky finish. A superb mouthful and signature Petrus, hardly surprising in an excellent year for Merlot.
