Photo Album, Florence, Italy, November-December 1897, January 1898, commercially produced red morocco album containing fifty-four black-and-white photographs, possibly taken by Ottilie Roederstein, all but six slipped into the pages of the album, the others loose, subjects identified in pencil on the album pages, and/or on the versos, mainly exteriors, but also scenes of daily life, a few monks, school children, frescoes, fountains, architecture, and other subjects, each photo measures 5 x 7 in., spine of the album chipped, a.e.g., corners rubbed, structurally intact, 10 3/4 x 8 in. overall. Provenance: The estate of Ottilie Roederstein (1859-1937).
