PHOTOBOOK] MAN RAY. Photographs by Man Ray, Paris, 1920-1934 . Hartford, Conn.: James Thrall Soby, (1934). "Second edition," identical to the first except for the addition of an extra preliminary leaf, see below. Publisher's plastic spiral binding and thick card covers illustrated with a color photograph by Man Ray. 12 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches (31 x 24 cm). [9], 104 pp., of plates plus colophon. Complete with all halftone illustrations. Missing one ring of the spiral plastic binding, light wear, but overall a very attractive copy. According to 101 Books pp. 80-81, the publisher "attempted to generate demand where none existed by suggesting the edition had sold out," hence the "second edition" statement. The work has a portrait by Picasso and text by Andre Breton, Paul Elouard, Rose Selavy & Tristan Tzara 101 Books pp. 80-81; Roth 80. C Estates of M. Michael Eisenberg and Barbara Yetka-Eisenberg
