Pilot 1969 sterling silver "Clump" fountain pen. Pictured on page 369 of Fountain Pens of the World: under Pilot Pens' "Silvern" series is a pen of the same barrel design, differing slightly at the top of the cap, and listed as "Clump - CPT (chrome plated trim) 1969." However, as this pen is marked "Sterling Silver" on the cap base band, this is most likely a prototype. It is fitted with a fine "18K - 750 PILOT - CUSTOM JAPAN - T578" nib, and is mint in the box with no papers. Condition: Condition requests can be obtained via email (brad@cowans.com) or by telephone (513-871-1670 Ext. 217). Any condition statement given, as a courtesy to a client, is only an opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Cowan's Auctions shall have no responsibility for any error or omission.
