Vest-form converter-filler lacquer-over-brass Yukari-sized maki-e fountain pen created to observe Pilot's 95th anniversary in 2013, featuring a proud dragon rendered in gold and silver raised takamaki-e and burnished togidashi maki-e techniques. The pen is further embellished in the traditional seirei-nuri maki-e technique, a rather complicated process whereby a urushi matrix is superadded to the lacquer coating on the brass body, and then gold dust is bonded to this matrix to create a unique and intricate pattern. Fine 18K gold nib engraved with 95th anniversary motifs. Outer box, inner box, black lacquer display box, ink bottle with dragon emblem on cap, chamois, booklets, filling guide.
