PINK FLOYD: THE WALL (1982) POSTER, USSIGNED BY ALAN PARKER DIRECTORArt by Gerald Scarfe (b. 1936) 41 x 27 in. (104 x 69 cm) This musical was directed by Alan Parker with animated elements by Gerald Scarfe it is based on the 1979 Pink Floyd album The Wall. The film stars Bob Geldof, Christine Hargreaves and James Laurenson. It focuses on Pink, played by Geldof, a rock star with a troubled soul, who after suffering many bouts of mental illness, builds a metaphorical wall to protect him emotionally and physically from the outside world. Can the bricks in the wall be dismantled to end Pink's isolation? This poster was signed by Alan Parker at the BFI, London, at a retrospective of his films. It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures. To view shipping calculator, please click here
