Porcacchi's ‘isolario’, originally published in 1572, is renowned for the beauty of its etched plates. The third and final part (p.154 onwards) relates to the New World. It includes a reduced version of Forlani’s important map of North America, as well as Temistitan (Mexico), Cuba, Spagnuola, the Moluccas and two new maps of Jamaica and San Giovanni.
