Postel's work sought to demonstrate that there was nothing within religion which did not conform to nature and reason. It is a wide-ranging book, that enquires as to the nature of divinity between different religions, comparing Christians, Jews and Muslims. Postel was evidently widely-read, at one point in his argument making cross-reference to a specific chapter in the Koran (p.45). Adams P-2023; Brunet IV, 840.
