POZZO, Andrea (1642-1709). Rules and Examples of Perspective Proper for Painters and Architects, etc. London: for J. Senex and R. Gosling, [c.1723]. 2° (410 x 251mm). Engraved titles and letterpress text in English and Latin, engraved frontispiece, full-page illustration of drawing instruments and 101 plates, engraved initials (dedication leaf torn and crudely repaired, Latin title lacks lower fore-corner with no loss, last leaf also lacks lower fore-corner with no loss, same leaf mounted, occasional very light spotting). Contemporary calf, gilt spine with red leather lettering piece (rather worn and scuffed). Provenance : E.A. Farbrace (late 18th-century armorial bookplate) -- From the Library of John Jackson (1793-1875) of Academy Place, Warrington (bookplate). Second English edition. Fowler p.208.
