Newbery, 1785, half-title, engraved folding frontispiece and folding map (several closed tears), 9 plates, occasional heavy spotting or light browning, long closed tear to leaf S1 without loss of text and leaves S4/5 near detached, ownership inscription of John Rocke Junr., Eton, July 1796, to front pastedown, contemporary calf, some wear, joints cracked and vertical split to spine, 8vo Based on John Rickman's 'Journal of Captain Cook's Last Voyage' (1781), but edited and extensively revised by David Henry and intended to form the sixth volume of his 'An Historical Account of all the Voyages Round the World, Performed by English Navigators' (1773-75).
