Edges are slightly irregular and they are associated tiny nicks consistent with the technique. There are two minor creases and a minor paper loss to the extreme cat's tail. There are a few superficial scratches to the surface as well as some minor handling marks. The sheet is a bit undulating. This work is in overall good condition.Playing black cat: element is attached to the card with glue in one point in the center. Edges are slightly irregular and they are associated tiny nicks consistent with the technique. There is a minor paper loss to extreme cat's tail. These cut-out papers of cats, as well as other animals, by Picasso were made in preparation for a collaborative project with the photographer André Villers The animals served as templates for Villers' photographic compositions made to illustrate Diurnes, published by Berggruen in 1962. Some of the cut-outs were given to Villers, some to Jacques Prévert (who wrote the text) and the rest to André Verdet __________________________________________________________________________
