Contemporary red straight-grained morocco, covers with wide decorative border tooled in gilt and blind with fillets and roll-tools surrounding a central Gothic panel, spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in two, the others with repeat overall decoration, g.e. (extremities scuffed, joints with slight splits). A FINE COPY OF THE LARGE-PAPER ISSUE OF THE FIRST EDITION.
