Queen Anne (1665-1714, Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland), document, signed ("Anne R"), Kensington Palace, 4th Mar 1704, a royal warrant ("Maundy Warrant no 21") to Ralph Duke of Montagu, ordering cloth to make robes for Maundy Service, document on vellum with a seal, countersigned by William Von Huls, folio, 1 p ["(...) One hundred and twenty six yards of russet cloth to make gowns for forty two poor men in our Maundy , forty two pairs of single sealed shoes and forty two pair of stocking for them. Item two, hundred and thirty six ells of Holland cloth as well to make shirts for the said poor men and also to be employed in that service. Twenty six pairs of gearing and trusting sheets of two breaths and a half of holland cloth and two ells three quarters long every sheet(...)"]
