Comprising:
i.                    Royal Tour, 1953-54. Two folding maps, Outbound Journey and Homebound Journey, Hydrographic Office stamp (each 35.8 x 18.1cm folded, 102.5 x 70.2cm unfolded), minor wear to edgesii.                  Royal Tour to Yugoslavia, 1972. 35 black and white photographs (each 24.0 x 18.2cm), of views, royal engagements and events with Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, Josip Broz Tito and his wife Jovanka Broz and others, quarter calf box with clasp, photographs curled at corners, wear to box, mainly marginaliii.                Royal visits in Australia and New Zealand, 1970s. 3 photographs of Queen Elizabeth II with officials (between 35.4 x 30.4cm and 28.8 x 25.0cm), 2 signed by Queen Elizabeth, one signed by the Duke of Edinburgh, one dated 1974, mounted on card, light toning and spotting, signatures to one photo somewhat smudgediv.                Royal visit to Australia, 1970s. Two black and white photographs of HMY Brittannia in Sydney Harbour (37.5 x 29.6cm), marginal tear to photo of Sydney Harbour Bridge, light spotting
This charming collection of material provides a fascinating insight into a few of the late Queen's many royal tours, from maps showing the Inbound and Outbound journeys of her first ever tour in 1953 to the royal family's only visit ever made to a Communist country when the Queen, the Prince of Edinburgh and Princess Anne visited Yugoslavia in 1972. Martin Charteris was Private Secretary to Elizabeth II from 1950 until 1977.
