Scattered edge scuffs and some edge losses, most significant at lower left corner. Blakelock traveled through the West between 1869 and 1872, from California through Mexico, Panama and the West Indies, and lived among Native Americans during some part of these travels. Possibly a study for the larger version of this subject which sold at Sotheby's, New York, 1983.
