Rare Charles Rohlfs Carved Drop-front Desk with Swivel Base Oak Buffalo, New York, c. 1900 Gothic-style carved finials on peaked form with carved and shaped sides, dropped front and scrolled lid support over panel with three pierced stylized motifs housing four drawers on one side and cabinet door on the other, desk case sits on raised platform base allowing it to revolve, interior fitted with shelves, accented with raised pegs, signed with logo and dated 1900, some loss, not in original finish, ht. 50 1/2, wd. 25 1/2, dp. 22 1/2 in. Note: Similar to an example in the Lewis collection at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond.
