Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn Recueil de Quatre-Vingt-Cinq Estampes originales, Têtes, Paysages et différents Sujets, dessinées et gravés par Rembrandt an album containing 78 etchings by Rembrandt and 41 etchings after him by other hands, on several types of laid paper, with Henri-Louis Basan's list of contents and title page, although most probably a later edition published by Bernard, with an impression of Jan Lutma (B. 276) not usually included in the earlier receuils, with an impression of The Death of the Virgin , B. 99 (the plate for which was lost circa 1820), each plate printed directly on to the pages of the album, occasional pale foxing throughout, the sheets with some staining and discoloration mainly towards the edges, the title page with staining and surface dirt, some pages with minor tears and losses at the sheet edges, lesser defects, bound within leather-backed boards (Album) 465 x 310 mm.
