Öl/Lw., 38 x 38 cm, l. u. sign. R. Kummer, doubl. - Gutachten: Elisabeth Nüdling, Fulda, 9.12.17, bestätigt die Authentizität. Das Gemälde wird in den Nachtrag des WVZ aufgenommen. - Provenienz: Privatsammlung Schleswig-Holstein. - Deutscher Landschaftsmaler. K. studierte bereits mit 15 Jahren ab 1825 an der Dresdner Akademie und nahm parallel Unterricht bei J. C. Dahl und seinem Patenonkel C. D. Friedrich. Mit Hilfe eines Stipendiums des sächsischen Königs bereiste er 1832/33 erstmals Italien, es folgten Reisen an die Adria sowie nach Schottland und Ägypten. 1859 begleitete er Prinz Georg von Sachsen nach Portugal. As early as 1825 he started studying at the Dresden academy but was also trained by J. C. Dahl and his godfather C. D. Friedrich. With a scholarship of the Saxonian king he travelled Italy for the first time in 1832/33, he also went to see the Adria, Scotland and Egypt.
