The map folded in a volume with six other plates and maps of Rome, most folding. 19th century blue wrappers. An interesting collection of 7 maps and plates of ancient and modern Rome published by Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi The small collection comprises an unsigned map of ancient Rome probably by Rossi Antiquae Urbis perfecta et nova delineatio and 5 plates on the death of Pope Urbanus VIII and the election of Alexander VII, including the papal procession La cavalcata con le sue cermonie del pontefice . Cf. Frutaz CL for the earlier issue of the map of modern Rome in 1637 by Giuseppe de Rossi.
