All are titled on printed labels in the lower margin: East Temple Street, West Side; Salt Lake City, From Arsenal, Looking South; and East Temple Street, East Side. Carter's View Emporium can be seen in the last; it is white building positioned between two flag poles of the neighboring buildings, with a horizontal sign that goes from Carter's building to an anchor post all the way across the sidewalk. Many other signs are visible in the photographs, including those for Godbe & Co. hardware and Drugs, Dunford & Sons Mammoth Shoe and Hat Store, M. Stenhouse Ladies Emporium of Fashion and Children's Furnishings, a billiards hall, a Western Union Telegraph office, City Bakery, and more. Condition: Corner wear, light soiling, and flyspecks.
