(Title soiled, small hole in one preliminary, E4 with repaired tears slightly affecting a few letters, Q3 with marginal repair, some headlines shaved.) Maroon morocco by Brugalla, 1946, gilt supralibros, gilt edges. FIRST EDITION of the first recorded novel by Santos, containing eighteen discourses on the life and manners of Madrid. Le Sage used much of the material in his Diable Boiteux . Goldsmith S-243; Palau 300560; cf. Salvá II, 1978.
