[Science, Medicine & Mathematics] [Edison, Thomas A.] Two Autograph Notes Autograph Note, signed No place, Sunday, July 30, 1855. 1 p. "Tho. S. Page/Sunday July 30th, 1855/Thomas A. Edison." The eight-year-old Edison has embellished his signature by drawing a face in the loop of the letter "h" in "Thomas" and another face in the loop of the "E" in "Edison." The addressee, Tho. S. Page, was presumably a relation through the marriage of Edison's oldest sister, Marion Wallace (1829-1900) to Homer Page With: Autograph Note No place, no date. Presumably to his second wife, Mina Miller Edison: "Our dear little mamma/don't want to leave her/nice home & come up to/keep Co with her lover-why?/no real love is the reason." Both notes in frame with an original photograph of Edison, Mina, and other individuals. Edison's note of July 30, 1855 is certainly among the earliest, if not the earliest, example of writing in his hand.
