Out of series copy from the editon of 250 copies signed in ink by Sem. 15 1/4 x 11 inches (38.5 x 29 cm); printed title and limitation leaf, 40 lithographed croquis and aquarelles affixed to 33 boards, all laid into original pictorial gilt stamped portfolio. Title leaf spotted, wear to porfolio flaps, ties lacking; Together with Quelques Croquis de Guerre [1917-1918]. Paris: Devambez, [circa 1918]. Number 8 of 250 copies signed in ink by Sem. 14 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches (37 x 27 cm); printed title and limitation leaf, 25 lithographed croquis and aquarelles laid into original pictorial gilt stamped portfolio retaining original ties. A fine copy. Sem's haunting sketches and finely colored drawings depict the soldiers and trenches of Verdun and other French locations during the long years of World War I. C
