SENAPE, Antonio (d.1842). An album of original drawings of Italy, Sicily and Malta. Ca 1830]. Oblong 2° (262 x 385mm.) with 63 ORIGINAL PEN AND INK DRAWINGS (60 with image area: 160 x 270mm. approx.; three double-page, with image area: 165 x 620mm. approx.), unsigned, each within ink border of one thick and two thin lines and identified in ink on margins, the last two cut to just outside ink borders and mounted. Contemporary half morocco gilt (scuffed). This album, produced for the Grand Tourist market, although concentrating on Naples and its environs, including Salerno, Pesto, Vietri, Amalfi, Capua, Capri and Ischia, also includes views of the Bagni di Lucca, St Peter's in Rome, Tuscany, Sicily, and Malta. The double-page views are of Pesto, Castellamare with the bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background, and Sorrento with the bay of Naples and Vesuvius in the background.
