Photogravure portrait of Seebohm, 149 FINE HAND-COLOURED LITHOGRAPHIC PLATES by John Gerrard Keulemans, printed by Hanhart. (Occasional light spotting.) Contemporary red half morocco gilt, t.e.g. (extremities a trifle scuffed, a few ink spots on the lower cover of volume I). FIRST EDITION. "A thorough monograph of a limited section of the family Turdidae ... The handcolored plates by Keulemans are excellent. Seebohm had most of the plates prepared but, at his death, left his manuscript unfinished" (Zimmer). Fine Bird Books 106; Nissen IVB 852; Zimmer 570; Anker 458; Wood 561. (2)
