Shulchan Aruch Even Ha’ezer, with Be’er HaGolah and Ba’er Heitev. Ostroh, [1806]. Ownership notation upon title page “Belongs to Rabbi Ya’akov Av Beit Din of Medvedovka”. Many erudite glosses in ancient handwriting, apparently of Rabbi Ya’akov Av Beit Din of Medvedovka [Medvedovka – town adjacent to city of Uman in which Rabbi Nachman of Breslov resided between 1790-1799. In Medvedovka Rabbi Nachman began leading his disciples, and many of his pioneer Hassidim resided in this town. The known righteous Rabbi Aryeh Leib (“Saba of Schiphol”) also resided in this small town in his youth, where he first became famous as a miracle worker].
