A member of the Berlin Secession, Willi Jaeckel was active in the German Expressionist movement, later achieving the distinction of being shown in the Nazi Degenerate Art exhibit. He died in a bomb raid in 1944. Euphorion Verlag was an artists' books and print publishing operation founded in 1920 by Abraham Horodisch and Siegfried Pfankuch. It lasted until the Nazi regime came to power.
