"Sir, I have the honor herewith to transmit certain Statements, pursuant to a resolution of the House of Representatives of the 13th ultimo, relative to the Disbursements made by the Department of War; also, copy of a letter from the Comptroller of the Treasury on the subject..." (Philadelphia: Childs and Swaine, 1792). Folio, 13 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. (343 x 216mm). 8 pp. Printed Treasury Department report. Gatherings stitched as issued, original thread sound; all edges untrimmed; bottom corner lightly creased; in blue cloth fall-down-back box. Evans 24292; Ford, Bibliotheca Hamiltoniana 237; ESTC W5481, locates four copies; OCLC locates only microfilm and digital copies. A scarce printed letter of transmittal from Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, documenting the disbursements by the War Department for the year 1790-91, comprising the accounts of Secretary of War, Henry Knox, and Acting Paymaster-General, Joseph Howell. The first copy to be offered at auction since 1952.
