Sir Peter Blake R.A.b. 1932Shrine to Marilyn Monroe in a Texas Diner mixed media on three panelsheight: 126cm.; 49¾in.; length: 448cm.; 176½in.; depth: 26cm.; 66in.Executed in 1989-90.Condition reportThe work consists of three separate panels with objects that sit on the shelf and hang from the hooks. The work appears in very good overall condition. All elements of the work appear present and securely adhered. Some nicks with minor associated losses to extreme edges in a few places. The paper collaged elements have some instances of creasing, minor nicks and tears, discolouration and aging, in line with the Artist's intention. One or two corners are lifting very slightly. There is a small tear to the left extreme edge of the Marilyn poster to the rightmost panel. There is some dirt to the fabric flag in one area. S ome minor scuffs and very small nicks to the shelf and to the wooden door, visible upon close inspection. The work is ready to hang and is unframed.
