Beschreibung:

(1) London, Atlas Press, 2006. Illustrated slipcase, 17 x 22 x 3 cm, housing a paperback book, 156 pp. and 5 cardboard sheets containing b/w printed boards and counters. First book edition in English, and the first to be accompanied by a game-board. Translated by Donald Nicholson-Smith, a past member of the Situationist group.
Debord states in Panegyric: 'I have studied the logic of war. Moreover I succeeded, a long time ago, in presenting the basics of its movements on a rather simple board game. I have played this game and, in the often difficult conduct of my life I have utilized lessons from it'. The game apparently became an obsession in the years before Debord's suicide in 1994. In near mint state. Added: (2) Richard Barbrook & Fabian Tompsett, Class Wargames Presents Guy Debord's The Game of War. London, Unpopular Books, 2012. Softcover, 79 pp. Contains the extended version of a filmscript by Ilza Black and 9 communiqués produced by Class Wargames as they played the game at various venues. (total 2)
