Beschreibung:

Paris, Internationale Lettriste / le Mouvement Surrealiste, October 1954. Tract, black on green sheet, 31 x 24 cm. Signed by members of both the International Lettrist and Surrealist movement against the bourgeois appropriation of Rimbaud.
Among the signatories were Bernstein, Dahou, Debord, Fillon and Wolman for the International Lettristes, Breton, Dax, Hantai, Mitrani, Peret, Pierre, Reigl and others for the Surrealist group. The cooperative action lasted only one day, as the Surrealists felt the text was too leftist and drew up another tract (Familiers du Grand Truc). Rare important document illustrating the intellectual splits leading up to the formation of the International Situationists. The sheet has considerate wear with rips along the edges (see pictures) and chipped off corner top right (1 cm). Text is unaffected, green sheet still very bright.
