Six publications by British artist, filmmaker, writer, pamphleteer, art historian and activist Stewart Home (1962). Includes: Plagiarism. Art as Commodity and Strategies for its Negation (1987); 3 pamphlets published by Sabotage editions London including (1) The Festival of Plagiarism, Art Strike Handbook (both 1989) and Out-Takes; Neoism, Plagiarism & Praxis and What is Situationism? A Reader. Both Edinburgh, AK Press, 1995/1996.
(2) Six issues of Photostatic and Retro Futurism (1988- 1992) published by Lloyd Dunn, founder of the mixed media experimental sound art group The Tape-beatles in Iowa City. Includes specials on Plagiarism and The Art Strike. (3) Added are 3 issues of Smile, an open source periodical invented by Stewart Home and meant to be 'plagiarised' by others. From 1984-89 there were 101 issues published by approximately 32 editors. The issues in this lot are from Madison Wisconsin and feature interesting subtitles: Snarl, Smut and Smirk. Some of the content refers to Situationist issues and to Neonism. (total 15)
