Six English Equestrian Prints SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY Comprising a set of five colored prints after Sutherland, published by Burgis & Barfoot, 22 Southampton Street, Strand, London, Sept. 1, 1815, comprising Mounting, Kicking, Running Away, Dismounting and Rearing, each in a maple frame; the last titled Winner of the Ascot, Bee's Wing, Gold Cup 1842, after J. F. Herring, engraved by Charles Hunt published J. Moore London, June 20th, 1842; maple frame. Framed dimensions of the set of five: 13 x 15 1/2 inches. Framed dimensions of the last: 19 7/8 x 24 inches. Estimate $400-600 Property from the Estate of Margaret Sheffield Martin, Atlanta, Georgia Some toning, discoloration, creasing, 1 1/2 inch horixontal tear to Running Away issuing from the right edge; four tears to Mounting, the largest measuring 1 inch issuing from the top edge; 1 1/2 inch tear to Kicking issuing form the top edge two inches in from the left edge. Last with extensive toning; black staining to margin at lower right.
