The first from a flintlock service musket, the border engraved rounded plate with 'GR' crowned and 'Tower' across the tail, and retaining its side-nails; the second from a Caucasian or Turkish longarm, of characteristic form and decorated overall with encrusted gold foliage; the third from a back-action hammer gun, signed 'Jno. Rigby & Co.', engraved with scrolling foliage, and retaining much of its case-hardened finish; the fourth from a Maynard tape priming firearm, of characteristic form stamped with 'VR' crowned, 'Mass. Arms Co Chicopee Falls U.S.A. 1856', 'Maynard's Patent Sept. 22. 1845', and retaining most of its blued and case-hardened finish; the fifth from a Star rim-fire carbine, the back-action stamped 'Star Arms Co., Yonkers, New York', and retaining much of its case-hardened finish; the last from a Turkish contract percussion service musket, engraved with a tughra and stamped 'B.S.A. Co 1868' on the tail (6) 7.5 cm. to 17.9 cm.
