.303 caliber, 25.25" barrel, S/N PF81340. Bolt and receiver factory matched. Black stove paint finish with refinished stock. Blade front sight with Mk I rear sight. Receiver marked with South African acceptance marks and import address. Left side of receiver marked with Fazakerley factory refurbish marks and February 1949 date. Stock on underside of grip shows matching South African marks. Barrel shows 5-groove rifling. Condition: Good. Most of the refurbished finish remains with some old flaking. Some rust on rear sight. Some cosmoline remnants. Stock shows dents and blemishes consistent with surplus arms but is otherwise free of major cracks and splits. Bore is poor to fair; mostly dark with some old fouling and visible rifling.
