Associated with the Alaskan Gold Rush. Engraved in bowl "Nome City, 1900." Crossed pick and shovel behind gold pan, in which are a couple tiny nuggets of real gold. Entire spoon seems to have been gold-washed at some point, now mostly worn off, other than bowl. A rope connects to a bucket handle above and winds around the handle of the spoon. Marked Sterling.
