SP A Royal Christmas Card signed and inscribed on the first page by King Olav V of Norway "For dear Xenia, with warm and sincere Christmas greetings and all good wishes for the New Year and lots of love from us all, Olav", 1958. On the third page is a mounted black and white photograph of the King kneeling at the altar in Nidaros cathedral on his coronation day. Overall size 12 x 33.8cm when opened. Light yellowing to paper, but nonetheless in fine condition. The card is addressed to Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia, sister of the last tzar Nicholas II. After the Revolution she fled Russia and settled in the United Kingdom. She was also first cousin to the English King George V and Olav V's mother.
