Three barrel bands, correct 1864 pattern rear sight, correct straight shank tulip head ramrod. Weak ESA cartouche on counterpane. Includes original US M-1855 Type II socket bayonet, marked US on ricasso and inspected by O.W. Ainsworth with small A on top rear of socket. Condition: Good. Metal with a pewter patina and scattered surface oxidation, discoloration and some light surface rust. Mechanically functional, good bore with lightly scattered pitting. Stock lightly sanded, leaving the edges rounded and the cartouches weak. Bayonet good with weak US mark and heavy patina of old, dried grease or oil.
