Ovchinnikov with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1890 The saint portrayed realistically, raising his right hand raised in a benediciton and holding the Gospels with his left hand, the saint's parcel-gilt vestments repoussé and chased with foliate and geometric motifs, the cut-out halo, the Gospels, and the applied corners enameled with varicolor foliate scrolls, flowerheads and crosses within blue pellet borders, the raised borders repoussé and chased with foliate arabesques, marked on oklad 12¼ in. (31.1 cm.) high, 10½ in. (26.7 cm.) wide
