A group of four artworks on paper by Cleveland artist, Stanislaus Oswieczynski, including: Ancient Rural Victorian (also known as Preamble), mezzotint, ca. 1930s-40s, signed l.r., titled l.l., 9.5 x 10.75 in. (sheet) The Pied Pipers of Today, lithograph, ca. 1941, signed l.r., titled l.l., 14 x 10.5 in. (sheet), honorable mention at 1941 May Show Cezanne Landscape, linocut, ca. 1939, signed l.r., titled l.l., 19.25 x 11.75 in. (sheet), honorable mention at 1939 May Show Landscape, L'Apres Midi avec Cezanne, watercolor, ca. 1939, signed l.r., titled l.l. 21.25 x 14.5 in. (sheet) Stanislaus Oswieczynski (later Oswiecinski) studied at the Cleveland School of Art, the University of Washington and Lee John Huntington Polytechnic. He regularly exhibited work at the Cleveland Museum of Art's May Show and taught at the Cooper School of Art and Saturday Mornings at the Cleveland Museum of Art. His work can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and among the archives at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Public Library. Provenance: The Estate of Stanislaus Oswieczynski Condition: Ancient Victorian - has been trimmed, remnants of tape on verso, light fading Pied Pipers - remnants of mounting tape on corners, tear to bottom right corner, fading, slight water stain bottom edge, losses to top right and left corner Cezanne Landscape - mounted to board, mat burn, some staining Landscape (watercolor) - mounted at edges, pinhole at each corner
