(Photographica, 28th October 2020) Stereo cards c. c. 1860s –1890s, Sophus Williams (1835 – 1900) Stereo cards c. c. 1860s –1890s, Sophus Williams (1835 – 1900) BERLIN AND PARIS VIEWS, c. 1860s –1890s, makers include Sophus Williams (1835 – 1900) E. Linde & Co, subjects include hand coloured portraits, stilllife and life scenes from Berlin (Germany) and Paris (France). A Complete set of 106 hand coloured albumen photo stereo cards, approx., 75 x 72mm, mounted onto vintage card and passe-partout mount (mount size approx. 177 x 85mm), aòò cards with printed title, number and photographers studio name on card recto, hand written number and title in ink, with pencil annotations on card verso. Provenance: Concrete Matter Archive (Qty: 106) Concrete Matter Archive This collection come from the archive of Frido Troost (1960 – 2013) a pioneering figure in the photography world. Art historian, teacher, curator, dealer, Troost contributed to the world of photography with legendary exhibition spaces and archives aming which the Institute for Concrete Matter in Haarlem (Netherlands), where photographs were thoroughly archived.
